In 1977, I joined MOB Design (the former name of MSI JAPAN) as a sales staff. The company had just been founded in the Kansai area and I had recently graduated from university.
While I started with door to door sales in Osaka, Kobe, and the Kyoto area, in the same year, I was fortunate enough to receive a request for Billy Ban Ban’s farewell tour from a company in Tokyo.

Because sales expanded over these first few years, MOB Co. Ltd. (Live Sound MOB) was founded in 1979. Shuzo Fujii became the president. During this time, MOB only did business with its own original audio equipment. In 1993, a capital alliance with MSI USA prompted MOB to be renamed MSI JAPAN INC. Around this period, our work on sound installations for Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey, Kenny G, Michael Bolton, and other various artists, allowed us to accumulate world-class sound knowledge.

In 1998, MSI introduced “V-DOSC” (the world’s first Line Source Array speaker system) to Japan.
In 2004, MSI received a “V-DOSC” partnership in Hong Kong and our business started to expand to Taiwan and China. By branching out and working alongside international artists, our engineers gradually started joining world tours.
When our 30th anniversary came along in 2009, we named it “The Third Foundation.”
To develop new business areas, and in response to changes in the business environment and the next generation's management team, MSI JAPAN was spun off into separate companies- MSI Japan Holdings, Inc., MSI Japan Tokyo, Inc., MSI Japan Agency, Inc.

We established Audio Brains as an affiliate company and moved to the group management system with MSI Japan Hong Kong Ltd. and the MSI Japan Shanghai & Beijing Branch.
MSI Japan Taiwan Production (aka MSI Japan Taiwan Production Co., Ltd) was established as a subsidiary company in 2014, where we join Taiwanese artists in their world tours.

Our company fully utilizes our management resources by concentrating on developing equipment as well as human resources.
We have put together a team of highly-skilled and hard-working people, who continue to support and believe in our enterprise management philosophy to be “Number One”.
Now that we have more experience under our belts, we are pleased to be able to focus our energy on excelling our human resources. We aim to make an impression on the entertainment industry, not only in Japan, but all over the world!

Heading toward our 40th anniversary, we will continue our efforts to be the “ONLY ONE” and “NUMBER ONE” sound enterprise and contribute positively to our society.
